Christian W.T. Benedix

Christian William Theodor Benedix was born in Germany in 1839 and immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1852. He served in the U.S. Army in the Civil War and eventually settled in California in the late 1860s. He became a farmer in the community of Franklin, located in Sacramento County, and eventually married and raised his family there.
