Ernestine Schweitzer to Isaac Schweitzer, February 5, 1896

English Text

Frankenthal, February 5, 1896 Dear brother! Since I am prevented to leave the room today because of a small indisposition I will use a quill and ink like your two other sisters and send you this way the whole-heartiest congratulations on your birthday. May the Almighty let you celebrate this feast a great many years in full health and that only pleasant things continue to happen in your life, and that you can look into the future as cheerful and happy as always. Your desires are so modest that thus God will yet have an understanding and grant your wishes in the coming year. This is what I wish with all my heart, your loving sister, Ernstine
